August 2023

For us August ’23 started with Jetlag – complete with totally altered circadian rhythms and Canadian holiday trinkets - Maple syrup in bottles shaped like maple leaves, plaid tea towels with black bears, maple cookies and candies; Canadian caps, First Nations woven throw blanket – well it is fair to say, we truly embraced the gathering of mementos.  Canada is a beautiful country, many areas similar to the glorious vistas, that is New Zealand.  Our 3-week Canada trip, to celebrate MIKE’S 60th birthday and early birthday for Pauline (who is much, much younger), was what we had hoped it would be, beautiful family time with Pauline’s delightful niece, Jaki, nephew in law, Mark, and great nephew and niece, Xavier, and Ella;

An incredible road trip from Edmonton Alberta, right down to Vancouver.  Many fabulous memories made, many sun-drenched days – giving us a summer that New Zealand forgot.  Most importantly, it afforded both of us a very much needed downtime, a reset, seeing us not only rested but our creativity enlivened.  Over the coming months, we will share some of the new product ideas, our interests, recipes and general chit chat, so check in regularly….and just maybe, we may be adding a ‘Maple’ product to our line-up of deliciousness!
